When space makes you dizzy:
Landing a spaceship is not a good time for a pilot to feel dizzy.

It's easy to tell which way is up and which way is down...or is it? In the freefall of space travel, there's no pull of gravity to tell your body which way is which. Most astronauts and cosmonauts experience some motion sickness when they first arrive in orbit. NASA is studying why.

European Commercial Satellite Industry To Gather for SATELLITE 2002 Europe Conference & Exhibition
by Melissa Henderson, PBI Media, LLC for http://www.satellite2002-europe.com/ - 301-354-1692

Top commercial companies, associations and other organizations aligned with European satellite businesses, have added their support to Satel Conseil and PBI Media, LLC's Satellite Group's second annual European Satellite conference and exhibition: SATELLITE 2002 Europe.

(November 21, 2002, Potomac, MD) -- Top commercial companies, associations and other organizations aligned with European satellite businesses, have added their support to Satel Conseil and PBI Media, LLC’s Satellite Group’s second annual European satellite conference and exhibition: SATELLITE 2002 Europe.

For the second year, Satel Conseil, Via Satellite and PBI Media will sponsor the annual European event dedicated exclusively to the rapidly changing business of communications via satellite in Europe. SATELLITE 2002 Europe will be held December 10-12, 2002, in Paris, France.

“The European communications satellite industry continues to grow and to reach out to new markets with innovative applications and services,” said conference Chairman David Bross. “Whether it's business-to-business or consumer-driven applications, the European satellite industry is leading the way in two-way, interactive video and data streaming, Internet caching and traditional point-to-multipoint services.”

Where is the next big market? How can satellite companies partner with each other and incumbent carriers to gain market share? What role will the consolidated "mega-operators" play in the converging telecommunications market? The answers to these questions and many others will be addressed at SATELLITE 2002 Europe, the premier European satellite industry exhibition and conference.

SATELLITE 2002 Europe will also feature panels covering the use of satellites in Europe, broadcasting concerns, delivering digital content, European broadcast regulations and interactive content via satellite. To that end, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) recently agreed to become a vital industry supporter of the Paris-based show.

"I welcome the EBU to the growing list of organizations supporting this conference. This year, we have doubled the program and number of sessions at this must-attend event,” Bross said. "Our broadcasting track of sessions, European Broadcast Forum 2002, will address the unique needs and issues that face broadcasters across Europe.”

Via Satellite magazine, PBI Media LLC’s Satellite Group, France-based Satel Conseil, London-based Global VSAT Forum, Switzerland-based EBU, and Washington-based Satellite Industry Association (SIA) are supporting the second-annual conference and exhibition.

SATELLITE 2002 Europe will be held December 10-12, 2002 in Paris, in conjunction with the 9th Satel Conseil Symposium, which will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
